Applications, in Portuguese or English, must be submitted digitally using the form provided below by the institutions or author(s), depending on the category. No more than one application per institution or author may be submitted for each edition of the award. 

In accordance with the Regulations, applications will not be accepted from:

• written works, in the case of the award in the Research Works category, or initiatives or achievements, in the case of the award in the Institutions category, submitted in previous editions;
• initiatives or works that have been sponsored, in whole or in part, by the Jorge Álvares Foundation;
• initiatives or actions within the scope of the award in the Institutions category which, at the time of the announcement of each edition of the award, have already been in place for more than two years;
• works submitted for the Award in the Research Works category authored by members of the governing bodies of the Jorge Álvares Foundation or governing bodies of the Foundation’s partner institutions, as identified on the Jorge Álvares Foundation website – www.jorgealvares.com.
